How we treat your privacy
Revised 2 November 2026
Nordicpineplay’s privacy in a paragraph
Nordicpineplay is built to be read without handing over personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment boxes, no analytics and no advertising trackers on this site. The few things the site remembers for you stay in your own browser, and the only personal details we ever hold are the ones you choose to send us by email.
This policy explains each of those pieces in turn, so you can see exactly what happens when you visit.
Your shortlist and cookie choice live in your browser
When you tap the heart on a game, your shortlist is saved in your browser’s localStorage, a small storage area on your own device. Your answer to the cookie notice is kept the same way, so the notice does not reappear on every page.
This information stays in your own browser. Nothing from it is sent to us, and we have no way to see it. Clearing your browser data, or using a private window, removes it completely. If you share your shortlist as a link, the list of game names travels inside that link to whoever you send it to.
The typefaces and the request to Google
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver the font files, Google receives your IP address and basic details about your browser, as happens whenever any website requests a file from another server. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing from this exchange.
Letters to the editors
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use these details only to read and reply to your message, and to act on any correction you send.
We keep correspondence only as long as we need it to reply and follow up, and we never add you to a mailing list or pass your message to anyone else. Ask us at any time and we will delete your emails.
Leaving for a publisher’s site
Play buttons open each game’s official website in a new tab. Once you arrive there, the publisher’s own privacy policy applies, including to any account you create or information you share while playing. We recommend reading it before you sign up for a world.
Asking the pine desk about your own details
Nordicpineplay handles personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may ask what personal information we hold about you, which in practice means any emails you have sent, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected].
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, which oversees how organizations handle personal information.
When this policy changes
If we change how the site works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its revised date. Because the site collects so little, changes are rare, and any we make will be described here in the same plain terms.
